Xantia front spheres

Post by Big Bazza »

I have a beloved 1997 2.0l vsx Xantia. I have recently had the rear spheres changed at 85,000 mls. I have noticed recently that the pump is now clicking approx. every 24secs, is this normal, or a sign that I have to get the fronts done now ? Doh. There are 4 to be seen under the bonnet, is it best to change the lot. Thanks in anticipation.

The rapid clicking means that your accumulator sphere needs changing, this is the one down the front of the engine, bolted to the pressure regulator on the gearbox bell housing.
If the front suspension is still soft, comfortable and well damped, the other three spheres (one on top of each suspension strut and the one down underneath) don't need touching.
