306 Stereo compatibility

does anyone know if mk2 306 stereos can be fitted to mk1 306's? If so, will the steering wheel remote controls still work??

Not to sure but would have thought the basic bits would stay the same. Most manufactures would put 'add ons' in to the wiring loom not take stuff out. It should go straight in.

be careful as not all the remotes have the same plugs on them.
I have been caught out by this in a 206. Also I believe the 306 comes with either a blaupunkt or Clarion radio which have different connections for the remote too. At least i think so....[:D]
