Squeak coming from front area when going over road ramps. Also seems to be a knocking noise or rumbling over ramps and bad surfaces. My mechanic has had a quick look and cannot see anything obvious. Bushes rods seem ok. Any ideas?

are your struts nice and free? try bouncing the front of the car and listen for noises.
Noise over rough roads could be droplinks - notoriously difficult to diagnose but if it doesn't make that noise when hitting a speed hump then almost certainly droplinks are a problem (over a speedhump both ends of the anti-roll bar are equally affected and so no load on links - so no noise)
