Lights on the panel- Laguna

Unread post by abbaza »

I have a 2.2 RT diesel Laguna. My problem is that the STOP light on the panel goes on occasionally with the handbrake light. Anyone knows what it could be?

Sounds like it could be low brake fluid?
Is this with the handbrake on?
Sometimes handbrake lights can have a second function such as fluid level or pad wear. It would be strange for the stop light to come on for pad wear though.

Thanks for your reply.
It happens on and off while I am driving, and it seems like a false contact. But as you said tha stop light indicates something else. On guy suggested, either a brake fluid level, pads wear or a leak in the fluid system. The other suggeste it's a gauge reader or something...
