Sensodrive gearbox

Unread post by oscarloco »

Has anyone tried out the new Sensodrive gearbox? How is it? Is it reliable? Does it reduce the shifting time? I'm interested in testing the C2 and the C3 with this gearbox but I would like to hear from people that have used it.

What's that, surely not one of the descendants of the Daf variomatic (first car was a 44)?

As Citroen puts it, it's a "robotized gearbox". Basically, it's a F1 style gearbox that is shifted via paddles behind the steering wheel. It's not an automatic that can be shifted manually since it has a normal computer operated clutch.

yeah, drove a Plurial last year. I found it jerky and not all that great.
I think it is more to apepal to the Saxo like drivers who like a F1 gimmic!
