Xantia steering column top bush.

Post by paranoid »

Can anybody give me advice about changing the above, as I have a bit of a knock coming from the wheel when wiggled up and down, side to side.
Tightening the nut behind the wheel cured it for a while but it gets worse after a while.
OR
Could it be the nylock nut coming loose, its only happened sine I took the steering whell off to do the dash lights ?

I had a similar problem on a BX which turned out to be the lower bearing which had slid down the shaft, tapping it back up solved it.
