Took the car for a two hour thrashing today and although early days, seems to have smoothed out the idle a bit - don't ask me why.
I've mentioned my gear stick wobble before and somebody suggested the gear linkage bushes. I've noticed that the movement is significant in 2nd gear and 4th gear, which suggests that it has something to do with the way the linkages are positioned when the gear stick is pointing backwards.
Anybody know the part number I need? [;)]

Not to sure about the part number but I do belive it's the same for all the Xsara range as well as late model ZX's. Wouldn't have thought the plastic bushes to be much those. Have a quick look befor purchase I think that it's a case of priing off and looking for wear in them. Had a look at mine when I got home today and it looks like a small ball joint affair at the engine end with tube bushes on the gear selctor end.
