it started with just needing a new front n/s wheel bearing,
after a trip to the garage, both wheel bearing and drive shaft were replaced, this was the start of august, now about to have the bearing replaced for a third time ? what can the garage have done to it?

I reckon they have pressed the first new one in not quite squarely, forced it in anyway, and thereby damaged the bearing housing in the hub carrier; its then worn out in double quick time as it won't be running straight;quickly followed by its replacements as none of them will now sit square.
What its got to do with the driveshaft failing, though, I don't know- it could just be co-incidence or the bearing is so out of line it's putting undue strain on it.
