Hi guys,
Hoping one of you can do me a huge favour. I have a Peugeot 405 with a Citroen XM 2.0 Turbo engine in it. Had a few running problems since I had a nasty incident with a kerb that sheared off the gearbox engine mount (don't ask) that if I can't solve tommorow I'll ask for your help on.
But until then, I need to know I've wired the HT leads corrently. I know the engine (XU10J2T) works on the "wasted spark" principle that in theory means the leads can connect to one of two cylinders 1/3 or 2/4 but I need to check as it could be the problem.
Can someone look in their engine bay at the coilpack of their 2.0i or 2.0 Turbo Xantia/XM/605 and tell me which connection on the coil pack goes to which cylinder's spark plug.
Thanks!
Dave

On my 1994 Xantia 2.0i, the HT connections are as follows.
Based on counting from clutch end as 1.
1 goes to the near distributor point.
2 goes to the bottom distributor point
3 goes to the top distributor point
4 goes to the far distributor point (closest to the firewall).
Small favour, even though it's dark and raining.
