Diesel fuel injectors

Post by bikeboyz »

How much should I be looking at for a quote on overhalling the 4 fuel injectors from my 2.3 Peugeot diesel engine with Roto/CAV equipment ?

£30-£35 each ?
I had mine done on an engine six years ago, and all four cost me £96

Surely it'd be more cost effective to buy new injectors at that price?

How long have the injectors been in the engine? If they're orginal it's probably better to buy new, I would have thought.

I don't know how long they had been in there, if they are original they are going to be at least 21 years old. They might be older, as the engine came out of another 504. To look at they are the same bolt in type as found on the XUD.

Dropped them in to Lucas UK today, its £25 per injector for a recon job on them. We'll wait to see what difference it makes to the old girl! Does anybody know much about the older type Roto fuel pumps with the manual control cold start fuel advance?
