i bought the saxo as crash damaged, cant remember what catagory, but its all repairable which is done. inside i replaced the passenger seatbelt clip and the airbag controller, after clearing the fault codes it still flashes, saying the "passenger airbag squib" is now faulty.
the thing is the car is a bottom of the range spree with no electric windows, sunroof, steering and certanly no passenger airbag.
can this be the controller(new from dealer-a steal at 60 quid)being the wrong one or does it need programing.

Hi
Im sorry I cant help you with your Saxo problem, But can I ask how do you read the fault codes on the airbag system?
Do you need a special tester or can flash codes be extracted from the diagnostic socket?
The reason im asking is I have a 1996 406 with a flashing airbag light to look at soon, Already checked the seatbelt pre tensioner plugs under the front seats & that didnt fix it & the owner doesnt really want to pay Peugeot loads of £££££££££ to fix it.

you need the dealers computer to program it.the pre-tensioners 'should' deploy in pairs,as we know though citroen pre-tensioner connectors aint exactly the best out there so theres always a good possibility of them not going off !
It's quite possible for a airbag or pre-tensioner to be faulty & bring the light on without being deployed.
