ZX Plip

My central locking was getting harder to operate with the plip having to hold it closer all the time. When I checked the red LED it was very dim so I changed the batteries. The LED was much brighter but the Plip failed to open the car. I checked the Plip with a Digicam and it shows up white. Not done anything else so I`m a bit stuck for ideas.Also what is the procedure for reprogramming the Plip on the ZX? Can`t seem to find one on the forum.

I think that you have to sit in the car door locks open. Key in the igniton to the first position and hold the plip button down for 10 seconds. Turn ignition off then lock doors with plip.
