timing belts

Post by meexi »

Hi I have just fitted a quinten hazell timing belt to my 203,000 miles BX diesel. my problem is is there a direction for the timing belt i have fitted it with writing towards the engine and there is no arrow marked on it, Also the haynes manuel states to change at 45,000 miles but i have always changed it at 36,000 miles which is right?

Makes no difference which way round you fit it, QH is a bit of an unknown quantity to me, to be on the safe side rid it early and next time stick a Dayco belt on £9+vat from GS&F, let that ride for 50,000 miles no worries.

No problems using Quintoh Hazel timing belts, they are of the highest quality. They supply the same make of belt as was fitted at the factory. ie if citroen use dayco belts thats what you get from QH.
