406 td flat

My new 406 (p reg) seems not to have any kick to the turbo, is it supposed to be that way? please help [:)]

For a 1.9td it should start pulling from about 1700-2000 rpm,when the turbo starts to work.Below about 1600 rpm it takes a while to pick up.Before i had my Xantia boosted(same engine)it used to start about 1800 rpm,then pulling strongly from about 2100 rpm.
Best thing is do what i did once,as its free.Take another 1 out for a test drive from a garage.If that seems to pull better,you may then want to get it checked out.

My 406 TD does not have much go below 2000rpm but above it pulls pretty well, even with 172000 miles on the clock.....
