lhm level

Post by mark bodsworth »

Hi
When I have my xm set to full height the indicator is level with the top line in the sight glass. Does this mean there is a shortage of lhm or too much.
cheers mark

Mark do you mean the LHM is level with the top line in the sight glass..? If so ,you have enough in there. As long as the yellow float is in between the two red lines.

The LHM level indicator should be between the two red lines not above or below. So if it is sat above the top of the red line then there is too much in, but as yours is level then it is OK. On my Xantia the indicator is half way between the two red lines.
As suggested in an earlier message i read buy yourself a turkey baster and this can be used to remove excess fluid as it sucks up plenty in one go.
Hope this helps.

If you do use the turkey baster to suck up LHM, dont forget to tell the wife otherwise you might find that your christmas turkey tastes funny !!

What the eye doesn't see........[;)][;)]
Use same principle when you put gearbox casings in dishwasher - long shopping trips are best here.
