VCI not recognised

Unread post by c5dc810hq_pb »

Hi,

Setup: Windows 10 professional 64-bit
Diagbox initially installed 9.186
Car to diagnose: 2008 Citroen C5 X7

I bought a Lexia/PP2000/Diagbox which arrived today. The diagbox seems to be working fine under windows 10 but the OBD connection is not being shown in device manager and I get the message "Please connect a VCI" when Diagbox is launched and I pick C5 X7 from the list of vehicles.

Have a bought a duff kit or is there another solution to having to send it back?

Regards

Phil

Before launching Diagbox, you need to start the Interface Checker. If it works correctly, it means the drivers are also loaded properly.

Is it a native installation or are you using a virtual installation?
Windows 10 Home or Pro?
32 bit or 64 bit?

You don't need version 9.anything for your C5 X7. Version 7.57 is plenty sufficient.

Hi,
I've uninstalled everything and I'll try again but I had run the driver checker

Hi,
The reason I went for a v9 set up was to avoid having to run windows xp under a vm environment.
I'm using w10 pro 64 bit.

Well I don't know what I did differently compared to the first 3 times before creating the post but it now works. Pity it's dark out and I can't hook the OBD reader🤣
