Hi
Nice to meet you all.
I have just purchased a 2016 C4 blue 1.6hdi. 99hp 5 speed.
Garage changed the cambelt and water pump. Coolant flush and used Xstream G48 Coolant. Blue colour.
Far as I can find its not correct as it contains silicate. Should I get it flushed again immediately?
Any help appreciated in advance.
Thank you
G48 Coolant used in Blue1.6HDi

Was the coolant change done after you purchased it or before? If after I'd go back to the garage and point out about the silicates and have it changed at their expense. Personally I always use coolants as recommended by the manufacturer so I would have it changed whoever has to pay for it, but that's me and other members may be able to give a more informed response. Good luck
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

G48 is also known as G11. I think it is not for Citroen and Peugeot. G30 is G12+. G12+ is real and easy to find, its price is normal. The color is not important and depends on the manufacturer. Antifreeze G12 100% TOTAL Glacelf Cartech P-OAT is blue. And Antifreeze G12 100% TOTAL Glacelf Autosupra is red. Both are appropriate.
