Hi, I’ve got a 2018 Citroen C1 and a few weeks ago the rear wiper stopped mid-swipe.
It’s currently at a 40 degree angle, so doesn’t block the view. This seemed okay in the interim while I wait for a garage appointment. However, last night I noticed an intermittent click from the back of the car, maybe every 5-10 seconds, and it continued when stationary.
I haven't tried using the rear wiper since it stopped, and the control's not in the ‘on’ position. Not a lot to go on I’ll admit, but any ideas what the problem could be, and is the car safe to drive? I know rear wipers aren’t a legal necessity, but I’m worried about something burning out and getting stuck on the road somewhere. Any advice greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance. K

We've also had a fair bit of rain in the last few days - don't know if water might be a factor?

Re: C1 rear wiper and intermittent click
Motor failures are pretty common on these, Top tip have a new wiper arm as well when replacing the motor as they tend to sieze on the spindle, can be risky trying to remote the old one as it goes through the glass, just dremmel the old one off
