Need help choosing BSI

Unread post by VeigaN »

Hi guys!

I need help choosing a BSI for my C4, as I don't know which reference numbers I should take into account. I can't find one that is an exact match. Could you please help me?

This is my BSI:

This is a really big change you are planning to make, and unless you have the necessary tools to reprogram the replacement will cause all sorts of problems.
I would take it to a specialist, to diagnose/clone/repair/replace.

Thanks for replying.

I’m not going to do the work myself—I'm just buying the BSI, and a specialized technician will configure it in my car. I just need help knowing how to buy the right one, considering that my car's version was never released here in Portugal (C4 2.0 HDI 136hp)—it was imported from France, And I don't know much about this, but I really just need to order the correct BSI.

The number beginning 96 is usually the one relating to the PSA part number, so try and get a BSI with a matching 96 number.

Thank you!
So, the other numbers doesnt matter? And the model of the car or the engine?

The thing to understand is that parts may be used across various vehicles. That BSI model could (for example) be used in the diesel C3 range, the C4 range and the C5 range. Once it has be configured with all of the settings for YOUR vehicle it should (barring any other issues) work properly.

Thank you very much!
That was my main doubt, it was leaving me confused.

Number 3 (BSI-05 180405) in your pictures should get you a suitable unit if you are cloning the original
