Another broken panoramic roof.

Unread post by Phil_D »

Hi all,

First post so apologies if this information has been given out before. I did search the forums and although I found some really useful information I didn’t see exactly what I needed.

My car, C4 Picasso Blue HDI 2015, has fallen foul of what seems to be a fairly common issue with these vehicles where the panoramic roof sun blind breaks free from the cables that open and shut it.

I have seen both ‘repair’ kits, and full length cables for sale on the likes of eBay, Ali Express and Alibaba, and think I will opt for the new cables with the uprated metal parts, (or mental according to both Ali’s 😆), that connect to the blind.

I’m sure I read somewhere that because of the position of the motor being offset from centre, the two cables are of differing lengths, so I guess would have two different part numbers?

Are these numbers listed anywhere or something that admin can lookup for me with my VIN number?

My VIN is: VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

Many thanks :-D

Hello Phil and :welc:

Unfortunately the forum has lost access to the VIN database since Stellantis reorganised and thus I cannot look the sunroof up for you. I have a backup system but it only covers cars up to 2012 so no use for yours. However there are members with their own access to the database and hopefully one of them will help you out. Good luck. :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!
