Radiator hose - can we identify it please?

Unread post by steveclv »

So this is a long shot but here goes

I have a 1983 Renault Trafic that has been fitted at some point with a Renault 19 C1JH742 block but still with the Trafic ancillaries - notably the water pump.

I need to change the top radiator hose but I suspect that the radiator has been changed too as it's aluminium. Is this a standard hose or is it something I need to just try and find something similar?

I was hoping to get a replacement before disturbing the system as it may disintegrate LOL

Does anyone know the diameter of the water pump outlet? I can measure the radiator side. The hose is 40cm long

Thanks if anyone can help :)

I tried searching on DDG for '1983 Renault Trafic top hose' and a number of options came up. I'd suggest you do the same and then work through the options to find the one that matches yours. Good luck :)

OK LOL
I have already tried that as well as ChatGPT - the issue is that the thermostat is contained inside the hose so it's quite a specialised end that goes onto the water pump end.
I suspect it is going to be no longer available so I might need to build something suitable :)
Thanks
