Citroen C3 Aircross fuel sender
Ok I’ve had a fault code pop up few times P0463 the first relates to incorrect fuel tank level sensor high input and the other is U0422 which I presume is BCI telling ECU there an incorrect reading. This became a regular occurrence every few starts. Now I located the area, took out back seat and found the fuel sender bay was absolutely filthy, so before trying to get another part would clean it out, then I let the car go into sleep mode disconnected the connection cleaned with contact cleaner and put it together on and off about 5 times to clean the contacts. Then resprayed again with contact cleaner again to flush let it dry, connected. Removed codes, drove for about 250 miles over a week and everything was lovely. The light appeared again , so checked same codes. Now I’ve been looking for parts in the U.K. and all these new senders are four pin and mines a six pin. Seen some second hand ones but my problem is, could it be the connector and not the actual Sender fuel tank level sensor. Any help would be appreciated, car drives great, even with light on, no limp modes, no fuel gauge issues that are really noticeable. It has me head cabbaged. If I need a sender does anyone know where to get a 6 pin variant that won’t cost me an arm and a leg. Thanks. Reg of the car is NK18 TCO 1.2l 110bhp petrol.

It might be best to read the number written on your original piece. According to Autodoc your car uses a fuel sender that has a 4-pin connector. And the C3 Picasso 1.2 THP uses a 6-pin connector.

Re: Citroen C3 Aircross fuel sender
Ok guys I posted picture there definitely six pins you can see five clearly with a good look, there’s six wires. I’m thinking it could be a connector fault as since I’ve cleaned again the lights went out and stayed out, so now I’m not sure if it actually the sender or the connectors. Is there a way of tightening the female pins somehow. Can the pins be corroded or covered in some muck, be loose, I have a launch 139 EVO would a fault show on live data or is it a switch on wake up thing because that’s when it happens. Any appreciated.

Re: Citroen C3 Aircross fuel sender
Once you have given the plug and socket a good dosing and dry out with electrical contact cleaner they should be ok. It is sometimes possible to improve the female simply by putting the tips of needle nose pliers down the outsides of the contacts and giving a gentle squeeze, but don't overdo it or you won't get the plug back in

So if I’m looking at the plug with catch on top is there a tongue on the bottom of the female connect, I’m blind as a bat an I’ve looked in and see nothing to touch maybe I need a magnifying glass to see in it with torch. Thanks for response though.
