5W30 BUT make sure that it is oil to the new FPW9.55535/03 specification, not just the older B71 2290.
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

Ask the autoparts shop. It should be printed on the oil container somewhere. There are multiple slightly different 5W/30 specifications. If it doesn't say FPW9.55535/03 then don't buy it.

Thanks for info. I got another issue with the car , the suspension does squeaky noises going over bumbs. I removed the front two wheels checked the bushings and the rubber parts they all seemed fine, i couldnt pinpoint the issue

Does the noise coincide with the front wheels going over a bump, the rear wheels or both? I suspect that it sounds as if it comes from the front regardless of which wheels go over the bump. Is this correct?

Due to the cam shaft chains failing on the 1.5 hdi engines the warranty has been extended to 10 years. If you are going to do your own oil changes then this warranty extension might not apply. For this reason I have continued to have our 308 1.5 hdi serviced at the Peugeot dealer, despite the cost.
The oil spec was changed about 2 years ago to 5w30 to try to help against the cam shaft failures. There is also a recall (MXL for our 308) to check the engine noise and if ok to just do an oil/filter change to the new spec but if not ok to replace the 7mm chain with an 8mm one including lots of other parts.
