C4 (C41) 2021 touchscreen software wont update/not compatable

Hello,
I have tried to update the software on my Citroen C4 (C41) 2021 1.5BlueHDI EAT8 SHINE and I have been using the Citroen Update website and followed all the instructions to download onto the 32GB memory stick. However, when I plug the stick into the car, it just come up with a message saying that the software is not compatible with the hardware. The Citroen update site is linked to my VIN so it should be giving me the right software. Unfortunately without updating the touchscreen software, it wont let me update to the latest map updates either. I asked the Citroen dealer to force the update and they said it is not possible and that the only way to update it is through the update site and the memory stick as I have been doing. I can see that this seems to be a problem for others but I don't seem to be able to find a solution. My car seems to be stuck on version 42.03.33.42_NAC-r0. Can anyone help with a solution? I have to drive to Italy in a few weeks and without the latest maps, it will be a nightmare.

I have moved this post here as you are more likely to get a response. However I think you may be over concerned about your maps as I am still driving around on 2017 maps as that is the latest available for my car and very seldom do I encounter a problem, even driving to my daughter in Germany or my mate in Spain!!

Thanks but I live in Spain and in my region there has been major road changes in the last few years because they have removed all the toll roads and built a whole load of new junctions, roundabouts and completely new roads. The maps on my satnav are 2023 and almost every journey there is a road that is not listed in the satnav. There is a 2026 map update for my C4 but I just can’t update because the touchscreen is stuck on this old version of software
