Citroen C2 VTS alternator and timing belt replacement

Hi

I have a Citroen C2 VTS code that I need to replace the alternator on and do the timing belt and water pump, I have noticed that the exhaust block pretty much all access to the alternator and I'm just wondering if anyone has any tips on how to replace it without taking off the exhaust the car is completely stock with its original exhaust so would prefer if I can do it without taking it off especially as its getting close to 20 years old now. I also need to do the timing belt and water-pump so just want to put this post out for any tips on these repairs and or whether I need any specific specialized tools.
