Peugeot 5008 mk1 driveshaft dilemma 😢

Good evening all.

My 2011 mk1 5008 2.0 hdi Automatic (Aisin Transmission ) has a tear in left inner CV joint boot .
I was hoping I could expand a cv boot abd slip it over the tripod but that didn't work ,tripod is press fitted and splines staked to stop it coming off.

My next attempt is to remove the wheel side CV joint and fit the boot from that side , doable providing I can split that CV joint from the shaft , tried with a mallet no luck , I bought one of them CV joint pullers just waiting for delivery.

Tried looking for a brand new after Market driveshaft left side , I managed to locate the OEM part 3272QJ , Looked on Ebay and several aftermarket ones came up , however they all have different lengths from 612mm all the way to 665mm.
I am lost and I dont really know the exact measurement of my original driveshaft , tried to roughly measure it and its around 650mm mark ,
Anyone knows the exact measurement of the 3272QJ OEM shaft or can advise the correct parts etc? I will be grateful

I did have a look on Autodoc previously , They have LOBRO and SKF + few more which also fit Automatic transmission yet they are different lengths...

You can get split boots that are glued together but I have never tried one. You could also get a quote from a dealer to replace the boot, it might be cheaper than a new drive shaft.

A tip for disengaging a CV joint outer from the drive shaft on the car. Make up a 300mm length of 25 or 30mm angle iron with one end cut at an angle to give two prongs. Disengage drive shaft from hub, and secure the inner shaft section to something solid on car to prevent the inner joint coming out. Wrap the outer joint in rags etc to keep it clean. Working under car, hold angle iron with prongs against inner spider of outer joint. Strike other end of angle iron with a good size hammer. Retrieve outer joint from flowerbed, hence rags.

Watch the usual things, securely on blocks since you need to be partially underneath, and take care inner joint does not disengage.
