Hello,
I have recently bought a 2009 C5 X7 estate with the 3.0 HDi. Long story short, the car's been off the road since April, 2025. I bought it as a parts car for my other C5 X7 2.0 HDi. The seller insisted the engine is seized and therefore the car is not operational. As soon as the trailer guy got the car back to my place I started looking for any engine damage. I found that the engine runs without issues, suspension works, the car's in a nice condition overall, therefore now I'm on the mission to get the car on the road again.
There are a couple of bits that need attention before I dare to show up for the rather strict inspection and bureaucratic vehicle registration process. The main one now being is the car has an engine light with the "anti-pollution system faulty" message. Knowing the exhaust flexible pipes are in pretty rough shape, I assume that is the main problem - see the pictures below.
I've been digging through the old service documentation and the diagrams to try and find parts number for this part. I'm not counting the hours I've spent on this, also reading through this forum, searching on carfrance24 and various other parts sites. I now have two final options - searching around scrapyards around me and/or FB to see if someone happens to have a similar model, though these flexi hoses may not be in any good condition either, or, hoping any of you guys have experience with exhaust jobs.
The relevant diagram of course names all of the bolts, clamps etc, but the part I'm looking for is not listed.
Yes I'm aware that the catalytic's end is also damaged - I'll cross that bridge when I get there.
The only very similar repair kit I managed to find is this https://www.autodoc.hu/hjs/17228523?utm ... VQQAvD_BwE but It's listed for BMW/Mini and I'm afraid the pipe size is incorrect - mine's diameter should be 56 mm on the inside.
Any suggestions, tips, potential replacement parts are very welcome - thank you!

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Well yes, this was what I found in 3 minutes basically, but for me it wasn't quite matching.
Not an expensive one so I'll go ahead with this then..now there would be someone else to blame as well
