quick question does a c5 mk1 have 1 or 2 fans for ac also does the fan come on when ac is working

My 2.2 HDi had 2 but I don't know if that applies across the range.

i got 1 fan at front 2 resitors replaced both resitistors and the fuse under the main fuse box but can only see 1 fan so does the fan meant to come on when ac is switched on

Yes, the fan should come on if the A/C is switched on. Could be either slow speed or full speed, can't remember. However, if there is something stopping the A/C from operating properly then the fan may not come on of course.

I seem to remember with the air con on the engine fan would start/stop and not run all the time.
