8 Speed automatic gearbox u1209 +p1718

Hi I have peugeot rifter 2022 model with 8 speed automatic gearbox, mechanic took it in for gearbox issue, as far as i am aware he did work on valve body, then car goes into P and doesn't not come out from park. hope someone can help.

When you say it doesn't come out of park do you mean the gear lever won't move, or moving the gearlever does not change the gear? :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

I had to disconnect the tcu to manually put the car in N so I have towe it out of that garage! But once I reconnect the tcu/tcm it will straight away go into Park. Clear all codes in diagnostic tool start the car press brake move the gear lever inside the car to n or d or r the gets p1209 code and ?? warnings on dash board. Inside diagnostic tool it shows gear postion correctly but car does not go into any gear and suck in p.
