This video shows the job on a Peugeot 406, not ideal but it may give you some ideas!
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

It pulls of as in that vid....there are metal "grip clips" attached (pushed on) to the plastic with bits that attach to the seat.....so you should no snap anything.

Re: Xantia 1.9 TD seatbelt
I got an advisory on the drivers side seat-belt in my C3 Picasso recently. I had to take off the trim and such, but it was actually quite easy in this case, just be gentle and don't force it. Take your time and all will be well. I got the seat-belt fabric replaced by Airbag Team for ~ £82 https://airbagteam.com/. One tip I would add is to make sure you carefully examine how the electrical clips engage and don't put the fascia back until you have verified you have no airbag warnings / lights. I thought I had put the clips back in properly, and got a fault on the dash. Not so. The connectors have a retainer you pull up first, then insert the plug into the socket, then engage the retainer to home the connector.
