2011 C3 Picasso Steering Wheel Trim

Unread post by jesschap »

Hi,

After slicing a finger, I've just had to remove all the Chrome effect material from the steering wheel insert on my C3 Pic.
It now looks a bit naff.

Is this part replaceable or is it integral to the wheel? I've tried to remove the actual trim and I assumed it would pop off with a bit of force but that doesn't appear to work. :-k

TIA

I'm pretty sure that it's part of the steering wheel and not replaceable separately. I have a similar trim the wheel of my C5 X7 and that's part of the wheel. Fortunately it isn't (currently) dangerous to my fingers.

Could you file off the sharp bits and fit it back ?

No sharp bits left to file off ......I've removed the offending finish but it's a white blob of plastic. I might just paint it matt black or something. The wheel looks easily removed so I suppose I could just mask if off and spray it.
