Hello there. New member here!
I have a ds3 1.6thp and have a question about coolant bleeding. On the thermostat where the bleed screw should be there is an off centre slotted cap with a wire coming out. Im led to believe this is from a recall. Does this still serve as a bleed point too ? Im unsure how to upload pictures at the moment
Thanks
Matt

You should be able to add a picture now (after making your first post), see: https://www.frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/ ... hp?t=56795
I owned a 308 with the same engine for 10 years and I ignored that bleed point. The system seems to be fairly good a purging air on its own.

Thanks. I get conflicting info of whats right and whats wrong. Never done a coolant change on one if these so wanted to make sure its done properly. All because of the oil filter housing gasket

Good luck that nothing else starts leaking now that you have disturbed it.
