It is very cheap. People want the Diesel and so nobody wants the petrol engined car. As you'd pay twice as much for the Diesel, the petrol is underpriced and at 92000 miles, the garage may have had some difficulty shifting it. I'd be wary of the mobile number, though. This could be a backstreet boy passing off cut'nshuts if you aren't careful. Put some of the saving to an AA check if you're interested.

Hi Tom,
your most likely right, just seemed like a pair of ridiculously cheap cars, especially the latter 2.0 110bhp Hdi variant.
I suppose it's possible it's a Cat d or something, have seen similar on e-bay before now, but that is a HUGE amount of car for your money and no mistake.
Not overly interested, still snooping around Xantia Hdi's, but these C5's are now coming into a similar price category, and I think the estates with the roof bars don't look too bad at all, as well as having pretty good lugging ability?

The C5 is a bit unloved with it being a hydraulic Citroen and these are 3 year old cars, C5s have a bit of a reputation for rear suspension problems. The C5 has been heavilly discounted new too so that will affect residual values.
I can remember looking at 3 year old ex fleet Xantias and 406s last year, and they were going for that sort of money, so maybe it isn't unusually cheap. Have a look at what you can get for similar money (Mitsubishi Carisma / Fiat Marea?) and you'll realise that it isn't so cheap.
