Hello everyone
i bought an boxer with an timing belt / chain snapped .
After i got it home and took it apart , it didn't took long to notice it was the chain that failed .
i did an cylinder leak down test , it was leaking badly . Thought to take the head cylinder off , but top of the bolts kept snapping . Tried welding , tried drilling , not much succes .
I thought i might be better of to get an engine replacement , and after i looked everywhere , i went from a second hand one to a refurbished one and then decided on a brand new one from neo brothers . It will be delivered tomorrow .
In the meanwhile i took everything off the old engine with some pictures/videos here and there , but i am somewhat worried , especially as some of the bolts are very rusty and thinking maybe i should replace them ?
Does anyone has a manual with the bolts size/thread pitch , and also the torque that they need to be set to ?
Also , i'm trying to come up with a list with what seals and orings i should be replacing . Never did anything like this on my own before , so i feel a bit overwhelmed .
Is there a list with anything like that , just so that i can order them all at once ?
Oh , and any hints how to take the long driveshaft out ? i undo the 2 bolts on the carrier and tried to pull it out , but it won't budge .
Thank you .

It would be best to give the full exact specification of the new engine you have bought in order for someone to try and find the info you seek.
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Hello !
Thank you for your time and reply .
i think it's the dw10fud .
This is the one i've bought and been told by the seller it should fit mine
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/235953554038
I managed to take driveshaft out in the end , but with the bracket attached . Any advice how to pull the bracket off ?
Anyone had to deal with injector testing/refurbishment? Ideally west yorkshire . Was thinking to have them tested before i shove them back in .
Thank you .
Later edit - also , van is on 160k miles . It has a solid flywheel . Have they been like this from factory ? I will be putting a new clutch in and not sure if i should replace the flywheel too or not . It seems to be in a very good condition, i reckon it would easily last at least one more clutch plate . Only has some very light round grooves , just like the brake discs . Should it be skimmed because of that ?
Thank you .
