Xantia - lights left on buzzer

Post by G0AOZ »

The buzzer to indicate that side or headlights have been inadvertantly left on once ignition switched off, has suddenly stopped working.
Can someone point me in the right direction to find this buzzer? Is failure of this item the most likely cause?

Have you checked the fuse?? Check your manual for the correct fuse

This happened to me. The lights are cross linked so the front left and the back right work off the same fuse. The front right and back left work off a second fuse. The buzzer to warn of lights on is powered off just one of these fuses. You'll find that a bulb has blown and taken the fuse with it so you'll need a new bulb and fuse.
The owners manual lists the fuse. no. 4 from memory (memory not that good though !)

Thanks for the reply guys. The problem now appears to have become intermittent, together with interior light dimmer control. So I guess there's a dodgy connection somewhere, intermittent fuse or bulb contact, bad earth etc.
