Does the diagram you have presented have a key identifying what the parts are called?

It was a long time ago. and memory might be playing tricks, but ISTR that on my Mk1 C5 and Xsara this only covered up the relay(s) and resistor(s).
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

In that case as that appears to be a clip on cover the easiest thing to do is take it off carefully, I'd use a plastic trim lever, and see what you find!!

Re: c5 mk1 2.0 hdi auto
5 and 6 are the resistors.
They can be removed/refitted without removing the bumper or the cover (item 8) with a bit of a struggle.
The relays and wiring are all underneath the cover (item 8). Bumper off for that, really.
Nb: Haynes 'typical fan wiring' schematic bears no resemblance to the wiring in my MK1 C5 2.0 HDi, so be warned if that's what you're also relying on for yours...
(I need the proper wiring diagram for that actually - mine is still running with only full speed fan atm because without the correct schematic, I couldn't get any further with fault-finding...)
