Oopsie

Went to the local garage to get fuel in the BX. Arrived at the pumps and went to pick up my wallet from the passenger seat - not there. Bugger must have left it at home with my phone so went back. Wallet and phone nowhere to be found so asked the wife to ring me. My phone is blue-toothed to my hearing aids so I could hear it but not trace it so I went back to the car to double check. I found the wallet and phone right where I'd left them sitting on DKK's rear spoiler, luckily the GT version is big and rubbery enough to double as a phone rest, (and picnic tray), apparently  The elusive pair had travelled about three miles in total enjoying their alfresco outing without moving - obviously a testament to my careful driving and the BX smooth ride

Going back (quite) a few years I once drove from one side of Birkenhead to the other with my beloved AVO Model 7 on the hood of my MG Midget. As I arrived at my destination my mate jumped out into the road beckoning me to reduce speed slowly and pull in, whilst pointing at the roof of the car.

There were quite a few corners and traffic lights and I have no idea how it stayed there.
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

Inside every old person is a young person wondering what the hell happened.

Going back probably 15 years i drove from Bournemouth to Marchwood (Southampton) in a wagon and drag flatbed unloaded only to arrive at Marchwood and not be able to locate my work mobile phone.
During my walk round checks i had to change an O/S tail light bulb on the trailer. My work phone was sat nestled up against the twist lock exactly where i had placed it when i went to get the screw driver and bulb from the workshop.
Suspension on the trailer was defo my saviour that day
