Hello gentlemen,
can you please clarify me something about the dual doser on the HDI from 2010? I have one with the dual doser, under the left side bank there is a tube connected (the bigger one) yesterday I noticed it was crimped like it is doing suction but not receiving air when me and a mechanic friend we inspected the system closer we saw there is an electrcal conector on the doser, but on the left side bank, there is no vacuum pipe connected to the flap and the electrical connector on the flap is also not connected, my question is if this is normal or what would cause someone to do this and if this is not damaging the engine long term ? I also feel under light load that there is a boost or pressure leak and wonder if it is related to this or not, the car seems to be pulling well, but also never had one like this and dont know if it should be more powerfull or not also no errors seem to be shown on the car at least the car isnt showing anything. One thing I did noticed is that it only starts to show the instant fuel consumption after a certain speed or in 3rd gear.
I would be very thankful if someone could help me.
Kind regards;
Carlos Rodrigues

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Hello @mickthemaverick,
thank you very much for the reply.
THis is my air doser, on the left bank you can see that the flap conector is there connected but it was disconnected, although from the top of the engine there is only 1 vacuum pipe connecting to the right bank on the left bank the electrical connector for the flap was turned off and I have again turned it off and the vacuum conector has no vacuum pipe and there is also none in the engine. I have read on the net that some had the left bank disabled, I am just not sure this is one because there is a pipe connected under the air doser.

Drive with the windows open, or better yet through a tunnel, if you've a significant boost leak you'd hear a whoosh / hisssssss sound.JohnyRiffle wrote: 23 Mar 2026, 20:02 I also feel under light load that there is a boost or pressure leak and wonder if it is related to this or not, the car seems to be pulling well,
That's normal, only shows above 20 mph I think.One thing I did noticed is that it only starts to show the instant fuel consumption after a certain speed or in 3rd gear.

I do have that hiss sound on light load, what I dont know is if it connected with the fact that the left bank doser was like nullified or maybe its even like that I have no idea but there is a closed flap on the left side and the connector is turned off and the vacuum pipe is not even there.MattBLancs wrote: 24 Mar 2026, 06:17Drive with the windows open, or better yet through a tunnel, if you've a significant boost leak you'd hear a whoosh / hisssssss sound.JohnyRiffle wrote: 23 Mar 2026, 20:02 I also feel under light load that there is a boost or pressure leak and wonder if it is related to this or not, the car seems to be pulling well,
