Citroen Nemo Rear Door Fault

Unread post by WeeNemo »

Hi everyone, having an issue with the rear door of my 2009 citroen nemo van, and I thought it's probably about time I come on here and ask the experts!

Basically I've got a BSI that won't go to sleep and drains the battery in 2 days of no use, using a Thinkcar diagnostic scanner I found in live data that the rear door is showing as open when closed, and closed when open.

I've fitted a 2nd hand door latch from a 2013 nemo from a breakers, but it's not made a difference.

Has anyone experienced this before, or does this indicate broken wiring?

Thanks :-D

Does the rear door switch have 2 or 3 contacts? :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Then it s not miswired. Have you done a BSI reset?

Ahh OK mate thank you, I haven't done a reset no, just the battery going flat a few times, bring it in to charge, connect again and start her up. Would this be the correct reset procedure :

Step-by-Step BSI Reset Procedure:
Prepare: Lower the driver's window, turn off all equipment (stereo, lights), ensure doors are closed, and remove the key.
Wait: Open the bonnet and wait 3 minutes for the BSI to go to sleep.
Disconnect: Disconnect the vehicle battery.
Wait: Wait 15 seconds.
Reconnect: Reconnect the battery, wait 10 seconds (do not open doors).
Wake up: Through the open driver's window, switch on the sidelights.
Ignition: Turn on the ignition and check system functionality.
Key Sync: Hold the lock button on the key for 10 seconds.
Final Test: Start the engine, check for errors, and test locking systems

From Google
Thanks, very much appreciated

Fantastic!! Thanks so much

Right I just went out to check... And I've no idea why I thought it was 2 contacts, the connector on my rear door latch has 6 pins in it, 6 wires going into it. It's an 8 pin connector, 2 are blank

Apologises!

Aah, well that complicates things. Do the reset and then see if it is still working back to front. :)

This is as close as I have for your door locking diagram. If you read it in conjunction with the guide at:

you may be able to sort it out. Good luck
