No heat

Unread post by Short frank »

Hi I have a 2012 DS4 1.6 diesel. We have no heat coming into the cabin. I have flushed and removed all air. The blower is working fine. I have hot water both sides of the heater matrix. I was reluctant to go near the flap motor as surely both motors on a dual climate car wouldn't go at the same time🤔 I am a bit stuck as to my next step. Any advice is appreciated

While others who actually know will confirm or deny, I imagine that there are two primary flaps that admit hot and cold air then others that direct the air mixture, and that the hot air one has failed.

That's a thought! While I expect they will be electrically operated, the ones in a Volvo I bought were vacuum operated and it took me ages to find why the weren't working and the car was freezing.
