Engine Cranking but Non Start, Temp Gague is at Max
Hi I have a Relay van 2.2, 2012. The issue it is having is the Engine cranking but Non start, Temp gague is at max, Engine managment light is flashing, coil light is staying on and relay constantly clicking. When i go to the fuse box in the engine compartment and remove fuse 18 the relay R7 stops clicking but a few lights on the dash go out and will still not start. Put the fuse in and it starts clicking again. Battery is fully charged. Has anyone got a fix for this. Any help would be great. Thanks

It sounds like you have a starter or immobiliser issue.. Try a BSI reset first following the procedure in the link below and then do a diagnostic check.

Hi thanks for the replay. I have tried the BSI reset and this did not work.

Re: Engine Cranking but Non Start, Temp Gague is at Max
The engine light not going out until the engine runs is normal since it needs the engine to run and the various sensors to then show the engine is ok. It flashing though is not normal. Temp gauge going to max could be the sensor is faulty or its wiring/connector is faulty/shorting to earth. As noted above, you need a diagnostic.
You can check if the immobiliser is recognising the key by putting it in the ignition and opening the driver's door, most cars give a warning if the key is left in but if not given it might mean the key is not recognised.
