Hello everyone!
After having a C2 Van 1.4 HDi (and performing even a suspension overall and clutch replacement) I've bit the bullet and I'm going to be the owner of a C5 X7 Tourer, with a DW10CTED4 engine.
Pics of the Tourer here:

Low mileage for the years with full service history.
Let's just hope I have made a wise decision!
Any special issues I should check out before picker her up from the dealer?
Thanks!
Greetings from Portugal!

Unfortunately I cannot read the description but the one thing that I'd be asking is has the steering rack been brought up to the latest standard?
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

Hi Mick!
Thanks for the reply!
What do you mean "the latest standard"? And how can I check that?

I am not sure but I believe some C5 X7s have had rack modifications to overcome the early leak problems that they were notorious for. Other members have much better knowledge about them I am sure.

Do LHD C5 X7s actually have the same problem as RHD vehicles?

Not normally, pinion is at a slightly different angle I think so does not create a well of water like the RHD ones......I would still check/protect withy a boot/protective coating however.

The X7 is a 2014, post facelift one... So I hope that it has the corrected collar design (did some searching in the meantime, about the issue).
Do you have, by any chance, the link for the rack boot mod?
Thanks
