C5 BSM Fuse Box Replacement.

Unread post by petey11 »

Hi
Mentioned this in another topic I have going reference to wipers but I'm after confirmation of something.

I believe the BCM fuse unit on the C5 (X7) 1,6hdi on 2011 plate 9HL engine, has been updated . The original was 9675877980 but I read somewhere that the 9807028580 is now suitable/used.

I'm considering replacing BCM due to an intermittent wiper fault with some codes directing towards the BCM.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I could be completely wrong (and I'm open to being corrected) but BCM is the body control module, which is known as the BSI in PSA speak. Perhaps you mean the fuse box? I don't know what the part numbers refer to.

BSI = BCM/fusebox inside the car

BSM = Under bonnet fuse box

Yes, my confusion, the fuse box under the bonnet, BSM as wheeler has kindly corrected for me. Ive seen it written as so many different abbreviations depending on manufacturer. It should be called universally in every programme/manufacturer "Under Bonnet Fuse/Relay Board", make much more sense.
