Hello all
First post here, so please be kind. I have a 2016 Citroen C4 Picasso Diesel 1.6L BlueHDi Exclusive. Recently, the battery was discharged. After the battery was charged, the key fobs can open the car, start it but when you try to lock it. It triggers the alarm. The issue happens with both key fobs.
What can I do so the car “recognise” the key fobs again?
Many thanks

Welcome to the forum.
The first thing I would try is a BSI reset. viewtopic.php?p=601679#p601679
How old is the battery? How was it flattened?

This is a common problem on these cars, and appears to be due to corruption / confusion of the BSI, perhaps due to taking the battery off before it has gone to sleep. Unfortunately the only solution seems to be taking it to a dealer and getting them to re-install the software on the BSI.

You probably know already but on most cars locking it manually using the blade hidden in the key fob leaves the alarm un set so helps until you get it properly fixed
Does it have keyless start and do you normally just start it with the key loose or in your pocket? If so try starting and stopping it with the key in the dashboard "slot". It can sometimes un-confuse things. Worth a try, quick and free, before you try, the above.

Thank all, I tried the BSI reset but it didn’t work. So off to the dealership.
Thanks again
