I am writing to the group to ask if anyone has encountered a radiator fan that turns on by itself (when the car is turned off or closed)?
As a result, it will run until it drains the battery.
The situation is as follows:
*The fan turns on at maximum speed when the car is locked and has been parked for some time.
*The problem only occurs in winter, at temperatures below -5°C.
*DiagBox does not detect any errors.
*The engine does not overheat during long journeys, and when I reach my destination, the fan works normally. It's as if it can still control the speed - probably because everything is warm...
*I have a new battery.
I have been to many mechanics, but their diagnoses have not been accurate...
The radiator fan, BSM, and coolant temperature sensor have been replaced.
(The fan in my car is integrated with all the electronics - the resistor is not available separately for replacement.
The fan was replaced with another used original, working in another C5 car).
