C8 ABS pump

Unread post by StevieE »

Hey guys
Need to replace ABS pump on my Citroen c8. Checked eBay and google etc for the code on top of my abs pump. The code is 0 265 235 486. Seems a hard pump to find and there is lots of them which are identical to mine. Could someone with experience working on these pumps please tell me if there is other pumps that will fit and work or must it be this exact code. Thanks for reading and any advice would be much appreciated. Cheers guys

I don't think they need coding to the vehicle as far as I know you just have to turn the steering side to side a few times as to let the car learn the steering angles and I think that's it

When the abs pump/block was replaced on a 2008 C4 we had it needed a diagnostic to code it to the car. Whether this has anything to do with the part number/code you mention I do not know.

I managed to get an abs pump with the same part number and fitted it and it is working well. I plugged it back on the the diagnostic tool and it’s showing a code U1309 absence of communication with the automatic gearbox ecu. My car is manual would this be a problem? It’s driving fine with no lights on dash. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I wouldn't worry about that if yours is manual it's just one of them glitches ,I take it your reverse lights work as i know odd things can be thrown up by something as simple as a blown bulb
