Bonjour from France

A forum for new members to introduce themselves to the rabble already onboard. Not compulsory!
Tell us a little about yourself, lie if you have to but keep it to just an introduction, not a car discussion.

Bonjour from France

Unread post by Two207 »

Good afternoon. I'm familiarising myself with Peugeots (having experience of VW Golf GLS, GTI, Passat, T2, Opel Vectra, Nissan Vannette, Audi 100 quattro etc).
Spent 15 years on two wheels in fresh air (maxiscooter) so settled down in 2022 with a Cabriolet Olé! That 207CC from 2011 ran very well for three years then blew out it's cylinder head "core plug". DIY Engine rebuild in progress (chocked up outdoors in January, will take a while: it's rained every day). To get by. . .I bought another! So now two 207CC! This one VTi 120 hp from 2010 runs extremely well, clean exhaust, perfect economy, very low oil consumption. . .roof worked now doesn't. I hope to post pictures of unusual things along the way and offer help online (I'm nearly bilingual). Prevention. . .(as you know). . .is better than cure (when we can afford it!). Spent 25 years in ship electrics and electronics. Thankyou to the forum creators and guides.

Hello and welcome from me. I'm sure you'll fit in well here.
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

Inside every old person is a young person wondering what the hell happened.

And welcome from me too. Have a good look round the forum from the Board Index under the main banner above and join in anywhere that interests you. :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

So there's now Servicebox and SEDRE on an Oracle Virtual Machine running inside/outside Windows 10 on 48" monitor at home
A bluetooth scanner for Android devices "Klavkarr 310" (from Brittany, France) for roadtrips and recording OBD, helping friends/any make or model.
A WiFi scanner "Quantex Scandoc" (from Germany) for PSA CAN diagnosis on road trips. It already found the roof switch stuck on a dead insect. Great!
A full 2025 Diagbox (secondhand touchscreen laptop with new VCI and software for offline) in english for the moment! Worked straight out of the box!.
I might be able to contribute while making sense. Yah never know. . . . .
