front parking sensors

Unread post by PIXI »

I own a citroen c5 x7 2009 year, 120kw, diesel, station wagon, which was imported from France. While fixing the car, I discovered cables and a jack in the front bumper of the car, and I suspect that they are the connection for the front sensor. I will look for a way to install them later, I found in the rear left fender of the box some cables that are not connected anywhere, I think that my car has installed cables for those sensors in the front, but the corresponding unit and parking sensors have not been installed. I would like any advice if someone has done this on their car, if there is any way for me to do it too, I will post pictures of that device that I found in the back and those cables. At the same time, I would like to ask how to get the code of the card that comes with the car, which is used for making spare keys, because I did not receive it from the importer. I contacted the former owner in France and he replied that he gave that code card to the dealer in France to whom he sold the car, could I write directly to the Citroën factory and to which address for that. If what I wrote here is not reasonable, please excuse me because I am writing from Serbia and I don't know English and I don't know French, so I use google translator.

Yes, certain levels of the C5 (x7) has the connectors for front sensors. I added them to mine, you will need....
  • Front bumper wiring loom (OEM)
  • Front bumper inserts either side of foglamps(OEM)
  • Two side sensor mounting plates ( I used something from ebay)
  • Two lower grille sensor mountings (I had two printed)
  • Front and rear parking ECU (OEM/Ebay)
  • Diagbox to activate ( controlled by the radio)
Regards
Stu.

I would be grateful if you could tell me which ECO mode to take, I think which is suitable for my car. I have to buy cables and sensors, that's not a problem, the only problem with the ECU is the markings that I should look for.
