PHEV, Proximity Keyless Entry Not Working.

It is common to Citroën, DS & Peugeot.

I couldn't get into my Citroën PHEV this morning, via the proximity unlocking, or by using the buttons on the fob.
Long story short, after driving for a couple of miles with the engine running (Power mode), walking away from the car, and returned 5 minutes later, the proximity unlocking worked again.

Note:- Traction battery was at 100%, underbonet battery had been on my maintainer for about 36 hours. The only thing that charged the Auxiliary battery (small one in the cental armrest or boot) was the petrol engine.

Hopefully, this will stop going to a main dealer, then getting told, ah you need a Diagnostics check £££'s and then the auxiliary battery had failed so we fitted a new one ,more ££££'s

What type of battery is the aux one then Stu?

Lead acid under bonet and the auxiliary one is AGM, so apparently it doesn't mind being taken down to 0%.

Update.
Drove for 42 miles with engine running, hybrid modes, On-board range meter said 4 miles, as it failed to charge last night.*
Stop & start did not work until at least 22 miles had been driven.
Two stops at end of trip, proximity / keyless entry worked as it should.

*Have been experiencing 'failed or 'interrupted' charges when using the overnight timer. I think this was also down to the auxiliary battery being of insufficient charge.
