Battery getting flat

Unread post by Keith_1 »

If i don't drive my citroen for a couple of days the battery will get flat ,after doing some fault finding I found out that the lights where the electric windows switches are remain on, even if the car is not used .I think the fault is from the BSI card. I'm thinking of buying a second hand one .My question is my car is RHD if I buy the card removed from a LHD car will it fit?

Hopefully someone who knows will come on soon but for what it's worth I suspect it won't fit, that is based on no knowledge at all just a feeling from knowing the way Citroen work in general. Good luck :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

What year is the car, engine, mileage, anything else to help identify it ?

You could try a BSI reset first https://www.frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/ ... 51&t=61997

Check for wiring problems between the door and body.

If you change the BSI you also may need to replace the keys and get the radio programmed into the new BSI. The mileage will likely go to the highest of your existing one or to the new BSI if it is from a car with a higher mileage. The replacement would need to be from a car of the same year, model, engine and with the same extras. If the fault is nothing to do with the BSI then it might be a waste of time/money.

It is likely to be a BPGA problem. The BPGA is responsible for disconnecting circuits when the car has been switched off. Search for BPGA for more information.
